Are you ready for an unforgettable day? The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime is thrilled to present StageFest, a celebration of Sarasota’s performing arts scene! Join us on Saturday, January 10 from 10 AM to 3 PM for a day packed with entertainment, shopping, and local flavor!

This free family-friendly event will feature live performances all day OUTSIDE in the Bazaar courtyard. You’ll see some of the area’s top theatre groups showcasing their talents!

Urbanite Theatre

Curious about what Urbanite Theatre has in store? Christie will give you a sneak peek! She'll perform a scene and a song from her new musical, Shark Lady, which tells the inspiring story of Dr. Genie Clark. This musical was recently showcased in a staged reading at Fogartyville in early December.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe

A highlight of the day includes performances from West Coast Black Theatre Troupe, an internationally recognized cultural institution dedicated to celebrating African American experiences through powerful storytelling, music, and dance. Their presence at StageFest reflects the depth and diversity of Sarasota’s theatre community and its national impact.

Music Compound

Music Compound created an environment where musicians of all ages can inspire, collaborate, and learn. Their mission is to support children and adults in their musical journey by offering a variety of learning experiences designed to build both skills and confidence. Today they will have several students from their musical theatre program perform. They are ready to take over any stage in town!

The Sarasota Players

The Sarasota Players is proud to present live performances by their talented local actors and students from past and upcoming productions including Annie, Les Miserables, Cabaret, Into the Woods, and more. Staff members will talk about who we are and will be available to answer any questions you may have. The Players is Sarasota's first theatre and has a place for anyone regardless of age or ability to get involved with the performing arts.
