On Saturday, November 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Bazaar invites you to Shady Pines Palooza, a Golden Girls-inspired celebration packed with laughter, nostalgia, and plenty of opportunities to channel your inner Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, or Sophia.
Whether you've watched every episode a dozen times or simply love a fun afternoon with friends, this is one event you won't want to miss.
Think You Know the Golden Girls?
At 12:30 p.m., local entertainer Joey Panek will host a fast-paced Golden Girls Trivia Challenge complete with prizes. Can you name all of Rose's hometown stories? Remember Sophia's best one-liners? Know exactly how many times Dorothy rolled her eyes at Blanche? It's time to find out.
Come Dressed to Impress
Have a floral dress? A pair of oversized glasses? Maybe you've perfected Sophia's sass or Blanche's Southern charm. We want to see it!
Dress as your favorite Golden Girl or create your own Miami-inspired masterpiece for our 1:30 p.m. Costume Contest. Whether you go all out or just add a touch of Golden flair, the more fabulous, the better.
Welcome to The Rusty Anchor
The fun doesn't stop after trivia. DJ Joey (not Joey Panek, another awesome Joey) will keep the party going with dance favorites before opening the microphone for karaoke, turning The Bazaar's courtyard into our very own version of The Rusty Anchor, the legendary nightclub from the show. Whether you're ready to sing or simply cheer everyone else on, expect plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments. Who doesn't love a good day time dance party? No Golden Girls celebration would be complete without delicious food.
Hamlet's Eatery will be serving a special Golden Girls-themed menu, while the bar under the patio mixes up specialty cocktails inspired by the ladies we all know and love.
